Her equally "cracked" man friend...did he drive into that pole to kill himself on purpose? Consumed with guilt?
That scene is getting to me. Or was it just a genuine car crash?
I really enjoyed this film though. Very calmly creepy.

He didn't drive into the poll on purpose. In the movie Emelie texted him that she needed more time. He was just trying to delay the parents by causing a car accident. But his car got out of control after the initial collision and then hit the poll.
