The babysitter blacklisted script

Anyone else think this is very similar to the script for The babysitter which is coming out this year? Psycho babysitter, the boy who talks to his neighbour through the walkie talkie. Home alone style traps like with the fireworks in the bin? If you've read the script there are a lot more similarities...

Blacklisted?

sounds racist. I think he meant verydarkgrey listed

I thought maybe it was a zombie flick where McCarthy came back from the dead and started blacklisting scripts again (since even in zombie-death he has a strong resistance to anything brain-related).

No, there is a list of the best screenplays that come out each year called The Black List.

Oh and here I thought it was a script which was too taboo, maybe the babysitter *beep* one of the kids and its shown on screen or such. The studios said no way were doing this, there would be riots. Hence, the script was blacklisted. But your explanation is better ;p

The OP has explained what he meant by "blacklisted", so maybe we could answer the QUESTION now? It does seem similar, but it's hard to say who ripped who off whom or if it was just a coincidence.

It's also similar to an episode of "The Simpsons" from way back in 1990.
