I knew that I recognized the Mother, Cerina Vincent. She played Areola in Not Another Teen Movie. The topless foreign exchange student who was a parody of Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth) in American Pie.

She was nude in a couple other movies, like Cabin Fever and Manchild. I'm sure Disney is aware and doesn't care. And I don't care and I think someone who got naked on camera shouldn't be forbidden from getting work even from Disney. Especially when Dan Schneider was in a couple 1980's sex-comedies and he makes children's shows. But I would've thought she'd be a bigger name by now.

Proof that merely getting naked doesn't completely advance your career, it might make you popular and open a few doors but you still have work hard etc. Not saying that she didn't because she has lots of roles and she probably beat a dozen actresses for this part so good for her and it's nice to see her acting. Just saying that I wish she was on a major network instead. The same can be said about Kadeem Hardison. He was in major movies like Vampire in Brooklyn and White Me Can't Jump ( not calling the blockbusters but they were B-Movies either) and he kinda had his own show over 20 years ago. I'm happy he's still acting but he could've been doing more.

Sorry for the rambling, main point: I knew the mom was hot even though it was hard to tell on the show

Cerina Vincent is the only reason (for me, at least) to watch the show!

Let's not forget her acting debut as Maya the yellow ranger in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, which coincidentally was once owned by Disney, though not when Cerina in it. As a Power Rangers fan, I felt the need to mention that, she always was hot, even as a Ranger. Ironically, she mentioned in an interview at the time (1999)that she didn't like her civilian outfit because it was too revealing, then she goes on to do nude scenes in R rated movies? Damn!

That's where I recognized her from. I really liked her as Maya. I don't care about her past and what roles she did. I really like her in this show and can't wait to see more.

She was so caring as Maya, maybe she could integrate some of that personality on the mom character, except for the jungle girl part of her, lol!
