http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4488724/episodes?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 *Nothing according to this listed beyond the 17th Season 1 Episode? When did they confirm it would be the last episode of Season 1? Did I miswatch it's promo? Season 2 according to that is slated to premiere in 2017, but what about SITM's Monstober Episode in October and Falalalidays Episode in November or December? If it's the case, then Season 1 will have been the shortest season of any season in a Live Action Disney Channel Series to date.
Looks like Disney Channel is ordering fewer episodes of many, if not most, shows now: Jessie's last season had only 20 episodes, Bunk'd season 1 had 21, Liv and Maddie season 3, had 20, Best Friends Whenever's first season had 19, Austin & Ally's final season had 20, as did Good Luck Charlie's final season (but its season 2 lasted 30).
Five years ago most Disney Channel series ran 24-28 episodes per season.
This year so far Disney Channel also imported three series: Mako Mermaids (Australia?), Backstage (Canada), The Lodge (England). I assume it costs much less to import a finished show than to produce an original.
Yeah, I know filankey is not a word, but it's gonna catch on.
20 isn't that bad (Season 3 of Liv & Maddie had 21 episodes). They finished filming the last season of Liv & Maddie before it even premiered, which from what I know of will have about only 15 or 16 eps, less than what the last season of ANT Farm had (18 eps). It seems like they're trying to get the 2nd and hopefully not last episode of Best Friends Whenever over and done with, with 3 eps to go, and having got through 5 episodes in a week. With the unexpected end to the 1st Season of Stuck in the Middle, now we won't be able to see what Halloween and Christmas is like for the Diaz Family.
