Reade's whole Coach/molestation storyline is god awful as is the baby...

...storyline with Weller. both storylines in ep.2 had me rolling my eyes. i loved (for the most part) season 1 and i very much liked the season 2 premiere but ep.2 i pretty much hated every part of it. having to revisit the football coach/molestation storyline is especially cringe-inducingly bad.

it doesn't help that thanx to the events in season 1 (Mayfair's death/Jane's true identity/motives, etc.) the group and Jane are very fractured. i loved the dynamic of the group and the group's interactions with each other. hopefully the rest of this season will be good!

I like the actor but I liked the character better in Season 1, especially when he was with Sarah. I can already see that he's going to be in a pissy mood for the entire season but then again, so are Kurt and Zapata. At least Patterson might be able to bring a smile and some lightheartedness to the proceedings once in a while...

unless, of course, she takes the shrink up on his dinner date offer and we learn that he's the mole and is just using her to try to get information on the team and her particular area of expertise, the cyber stuff.

They are my thoughts on Patterson and Borden also

I guess after Reade dating Weller's sister, writers didn't really know what to have him do for the season so they dug up the abuse story from last season. I can't say I'm on board with this. I can already see what's going to happen : he's going to get flashbacks but stay in denial, he's going to refuse to see someone for a long time, start taking prescription pills to go through the day, then one of the members of the team is going to find out that he's troubled and urge him to talk, then he's going to go to rehab, and somewhere in this storyline, there's going to be some discussion with Jane regarding suppressing painful memories.

And while I'm busy making predictions, I wouldn't be surprised if at some point we learnt that Roman has some form of pain insensitivity thing going on. The way he beat up the two men in the warehouse until his own hand was bleeding suggested to me that he did. Or maybe I 'm looking too much into this.

Agreed. Check out my post: "Blindspot SVU"
There seems to be a fixation on crimes against children.
