It's getting better, but...

I had a really hard time stomaching that CIA guy who tortured Jane getting a free pass.

And I'm still not sure how I feel about Jane saving his life, and then using his words about "just doing my job; it's nothing personal."

I've been telling myself that the look on his face at the end indicates he might change; might finally get that he tortured a good and innocent person and even try to make amends, but I haven't convinced myself yet.

And when it comes to the way the writers are treating Jane this season, I probably shouldn't hold out much hope.

Yeah but it goes in line with what she said at the beginning of the season in the motel when Kurt confronted her - she doesn't have any legal documentation that she actually exists and thus has no rights, she could disappear and no one would notice

I actually thought her line and the look on his face when she said that was 1 of the better 'screw you' moments of the show. At the beginning of the episode he talked about he was just doing his job attempting to extract information from the daughter of a terrorist and called her an enemy combatant and that what he did to her didn't really happen legally. And after everything went sideways with the Russian mobster the 'enemy combatant' as he called her was the 1 who realized that his daughter was in danger and saved both his life and that of his daughter's.
