Jane and Roman Scenes

It's starting to get to the point that I'm only watching it for the Jane and Roman interactions.

The scenes with the two of them are great, you really get a sense of family from their body language etc.

And I hope they allow Roman to find redemption, since he's the only one who's been loyal to Jane from day one. Everyone else keeps throwing her under the bus!

Well...

At least they have planted the seed.

I say this because of his interactions with the little girl and her mother in the diner. BUT, ESPECIALLY, because (when he saw trouble brewing) he warned the mother to take her daughter and get out of there.

A person devoid of ALL feelings for his fellow human beings would have done no such thing.

Yes, I thought that too after the 'specialist' said that Roman had no humanity essentially. He quite clearly thought of them as innocent and deserving of his protection.

Interesting how she also made the point that she hasn't examined Jane yet.

I wanted someone to bring up the fact that Roman has been treated like a criminal from the second they found him, whereas Jane was given the benefit of the doubt and treated as a victim...that has to affect his responses/behavior.

reply

The argument put forward by the specialist is that they were scanning his brain whilst showing Roman the images and that it's how his brain processes them, not his reactions based on feeling trapped or accused at the moment.

HA HA HA. He tried to kill her thats why she drugged him. He's loyal to Roman no one else.

When it came down to it, Roman chose to save Jane by shooting at Shepherd instead.

He was angry and felt betrayed by Jane but didn't want her to die. He loved her too much to kill her and chose to kill Shepherd even though he agreed with Shepherd's plan for America, which Jane doesn't believe in.

reply

I was surprised by how much I could believe that they were brother and sister.

I really like their relationship. It's interesting.

reply

Hell no. I hope he finds out she was the one who erased his memory and leaves her.

More likely to try to kill her when he finds out!

After all, since she erased his memory, he doesn’t recall ‘their shared history’ OR how much he loves her. Unless some of that kicks in before he finds out what she did...he is going to be  for her.

Me too! LOVE Jane and Romain scenes and that's the only reason I watch season 2 right now (I hate the team dynamic. it seems like everyone is hating everyone). Jaimie and Luke are like real siblings. Their scenes has so much weight behind them and both of them do a great job. I'm looking forward to how their relationship progress.
