Beauty and the Beast whips (pun intended) FSD for new trailer record!

Sorry FS fans, but nothing beats a "tale as old as time".

Hard to compare a Disney extravaganza with an R rated erotic romance...I will be seeing both...odd they didn't put this in the holiday season...maybe because Spring Break is in the middle of March?..Cinderella is the latest live/action Disney...it made 533,500,000...

I've heard of you! Some users say you're like a super FS fan that would defend the franchise to the death.

Anyways, the subject here is romance. Doesn't matter if it's magical or erotic, this upcoming film got 127.6 million views. People made a big deal about FSD views getting 114 views, Beauty and the Beast did way better and it's getting great trailer reviews. No kidding, there are videos of people crying during and after watching the trailer. Sorry, the fan base for Beauty and the Beast is much more passionate than FSD.

Don't go head to head with isundling, she'll defend FSOG until the the end. I heard she works for EL James or the franchise.

Deadpool did better at the box office and she was all "well you can't compare an erotic film to a comic book." Even though Deadpool was released on Valentine's Day and R-rated which had way more steamy scenes than FSOG. Deadpool got a 8.1 IMDB score,
FSOG got a 4.1, which is way too nice.

I'll gladly go see Beauty and the Beast. Looks better than I expected it would be.

To the death!!!!!!!!!!! Come on...I should have said an R rated romance.....you can't compare Deadpool to 50 Shades either..and I did enjoy that movie too, but it is not one I will watch over and over..
50 Shades of Grey is in a league of its own..and like I said, I will be seeing both movies..

P.S...It was Brian__007 who started the rumor I worked for E.L. James..not true...

Woah O_o...that's like super sad. Sorry isundling, but movies that qualifiy as true R-rated romance are films like Amelie or Atonement. Exceptional acting and moving love stories. Films that went all the way to the oscars. Now those are movies worth watching over and over again.

p.s. @RiveterRose made an excellent point. Seems like any film that takes down FS in any way, you base it on semantics to defend it.

Well...at least I keep it interesting..it really doesn't matter to me if you like the movie or not, but is sure seems like the ones who dislike it, spend the most time posting about it..most of my antics are replies to dissenters..and it makes me wonder why any of you really care what I post?..I have said many times that I appreciate other movies..and yes, I said I will be seeing Beauty and the Beast..and Star Wars/Rogue One..and La La Land..Passengers..Hidden Figures..Manchester by the Sea..Sing..saw Loving last night..wonderful/sad/gut wrenching movie..

the thing that really messed me up about people defending 50 shades is that even after you shoot down all their arguments of it being a non-abusive relationship, their last argument is that the third book explains why Christian Grey is like that. Like their argument is literally that his backstory excuses his abusive behavior. The fact that people think this is a good argument is messed up.

reply

ive read articles avoid people saying Christian Grey reminds them of their abuser.

What do you say to that isundling? That's it just fiction?

reply

Did these articles say whether it was the movie or the book Christian that bothered them?

isundling...it's me didi...I got ur back. Don't even waste ur time w/these people. As u mentioned, I will not miss Beauty and the Beast. It will be an epic movie. Agreed, this Beauty & Beast should no way be compared to FSD. Two totally different movies (ie. I'll take my kids to go see Beauty, obviously would not do the same for FSD). Cannot compare, period!!!'
