James Fenimore Cooper?s typewriter sold at auction for 3 million dollars. The buyer, Charles Dickens, used the typewriter for most of his books. After his death, it was sold in another auction for 12 million dollars to Ernest Hemingway, who wrote two of his novels on it. After his death, the typewriter was sold to J.K. Rowling, who wrote most of the Harry Potter series on it. The typewriter will be sold at a charity auction in 2016. Its buyer is expected to be the next great novelist of our time. E. L. James has been banned from the proceedings.
