if I want to read 50 shades

Maybe i'll try the library.
Some are still open.

I'll either say.
This is a lovely misunderstood romance novel or
Ew this is one of the dirtiest books ever, it gives Twilight a bad name.

But don't forget (Unless its on Sky Movies??) the first film has never been shown on television, and don't expect the sequel either. Is it legal to show on ordinary television channels? Its never been on Film4. Freeview doesn't have the x-rated channels.

Jamie Dornan is rather good looking though.

Might be in libraries, though not sure about UK libraries. I originally read the books after honestly accidently running across them in the opening page to my (US) library online books check-out page.

So, online reading somewhere to which you might have access?

As for showing this on telly, well, it's rated R so any network that can show R rated films could show this one couldn't they? The 50's trilogy cannot have any more explicit scenes than the "Game of Thrones" saga. And that's shown on premium cable/subs.

As for regular networks in the US (and the ratings tend to be similiar in SKY and Virgin regular channels) I'd doubt it would be on the networks that only extend as far as "mature" ratings. But if they show R-rated material then sure.

Now that you've asked, it did make me wonder if it's been shown on cable/satellite stations yet as a routine film in its offerings. I no longer receive cable in the US and only subscribe to networks like Showtime or HBO when there is a month or two they are showing someething like 'Homeland' that I wish to see. So, not exactly a good data sampling in my case.

Hi CobblersAwls,

I saw Fifty Shades first as a screener and later on cable television, HBO, where they play it pretty often.
