I don't remember this character from the book...can someone enlighten me???

reply

I just re-read the book and there isn't a Boyce Fox character in the book..

reply

Hi, Boyce Fox is in book 3, she signs him on as an author. Its her first signing as acting editor. They may introduce him in the 2nd movie early.

reply

Yes...it was in Freed..almost the last of the book...she has been off work for a while and mentions she has to meet with a new author...but she never meets him in the book.

reply

Thanks! I was wondering who the hell that was...

reply

The part of Boyce Fox was expanded/written for the actor Tyler Hoechlin and he first appears in the Feb 2017 release Fifty Shades Darker and continues in the 2018 release Fifty Shades Freed. It is hoped his presence will awaken new interest in the franchise.

reply

Wow...where did you read that?...he only has a paragraph in Freed..and "awaken new interest"?...there is plenty of interest with Jamie and Dakota and the whole Grey gang..

reply

Yeah but for a girl like me who has read way better erotic fanfiction and thought 50 Shades was the biggest pile of garbage to ever make money, normally I would not touch this franchise with a ten-foot pole...however I will illegally download the second two films because Tyler Hoechlin is bae <333

Also, I'm surprised Dakota and Jamie signed on for the whole trilogy since they almost went out of their way to trash the first film in interviews. I guess money really does talk.

Millions and millions of monetary units are loud as hell.

Ana does meet Boyce Fox in the book, she siigns him on the day AFTER Hyde is fired. His book turns into a New York Times best seller, which proves how smart she is, and she does all this without Christian's interference. Christian buys SIP after Ana left him. She never told him what kind of job she wanted. In the books she felt that he would use his influence in the business world to get her what she wanted. In the movie she doesn't tell him anything at all. He won't talk to her, Why should she tell him anything. She starts her new job the Monday after she walks out. At the end of FSOG, Christian gets up in the middle of a meeting because he realizes he can't function the way things stand between them. I'm sure he's going to have to deal with Kate at this point. He'll have realize he really doesn't know too much about Ana. His big brother will have to help him out. After he takes Ana home after she past out in the bar, Elliott tell her, It's awesome to meet you, Kate's told me a lot about you. What you're doing with Mr. Warmth here, I'll never understand." In the bar Kate actually threatens Christian if he doesn't use his best behavior. So Kate is protective, Ana laughs, but Christian doesn't wonder why. When he's trying to figure out how to win her back, of course his big brother is going to help him out. None of that is in the movie or books, its common sense.. Regardless of how Christian acts he is close to his family.

Interesting...I read the article, but the video was different...a high school friend?...hmm..

reply

I read the article too. In the books there's no mention of Ana knowing Boyce Fox prior to her meeting him at SIP. The only mention of high school friends is when Ana asks Christian if he ever "made out", and he's pretty shocked to find out that Ana did in high school with two different boys. But neither of them ever got past a pretty tame "first base". What I find ironic in that episode is that Christian turns the TV on to X-files. Given that the books were written before Jamie was cast, its kind of amusing.
