I don't know. Catherine Breillat has literally directed some pretty hardcore sex scenes. Not that I don't love Adrian Lyne and Paul Verhoeven, cos they're two of my favorite directors.
In fact in my opinion Adrian Lyne is a good choice: Unfaithful, Fatal Attraction, Nine 1/2 Weeks, Indecent Proposal... all very sexy movies
shareI don't have any expectations about the level of kinkiness, but I think it's wrong to think it'll be kinkier just because it's being directed by a man. It's ridiculous to imply that all males direct the same way. They don't.
