Its still gonna make money and the third movie will be released as normal but the overrated hype was its downfall! It was very telling when the first film box office went down 60% in its 2nd week due to ba1d reviews and word of mouth plus the break of a year hasn't done them any good either, Freed should have ideally been released around now, but the makers were lazy and have been proven to be incompetent many times!
shareI was actually talking about the Divergent series with that post. I hear the last movie for that, Ascendant, may get downgraded to a TV movie premiere instead.
But yeah I have no doubts that Darker would still do well. Not comparably as well as the first one for reasons you mentioned and also since Valentine's day doesn't fall on the weekend this time around.
