Enlighten me.
Don't tell me you love animals if that's cow muscle on your plate.

You can also see from that link that Jamie got to grow out his stubble as the biggest complaint was that he wasn't that good looking without it, and it also really highlighted his wonky eye!
Shame he couldn't grow out some acting though!
I read an article where he said he had more control over his character this time around, and from the various posts I've been seeing, it seems his gambled paid off. I never thought he had any control in FSOG. That was such a horribly written character.
Moving forward, I hope his agent can secure him auditions with series from quality networks, such as Showtime, HBO, Max (maybe not this one), or Starz. Many of these series are churning out higher quality products than most movies these days. It could do wonders for his career if he could slide into one of these roles. I'm looking at you, True Detective.

Delirious that he said that or delirious that his acting has gotten worse?

That it paid off he had control over his character, how did it?

I'm not basing his acting on the bazillion 'I love you so much Jamie!!! Cum to my house later, my mom won't be home and I think you are so cute and I want to have ur babez', posts littering Twitter. I'm going off of the links you posted. I thought he was lighter and cuter in those.

Oh ok, its your opinion, thought you saying he was getting good reviews for his portrayal!
shareI haven't seen any reviews, yet, talking about his portrayal, except that his character improved. Now, I'm not scouring the internet for the latest reviews, either. I've only read a handful of them.
I said it repeatedly two years ago and I still stand by it. He was the fall guy for FSOG. Dakota got an Anastasia 2.0 for the first movie, while Jamie was left holding the bag with a flat Christian Grey. So, when the reviews came out, they went after him like a rabid dog at a county fair. Everyone was stunned that Anastasia actually had a personality, letting Dakota off the hook, and causing Jamie to stand out in a very bad way.
He was made to look bad, so the people holding the power had someone to blame, even though they knew this franchise was always going to tank when it came to the reviews. Charlie, no doubt, figured this out early and rightly pulled out.

Well, you know we've gone our rounds on this issue. I know I may come off as a prude, but I'm really not. I think if Jamie showed as much as a ball --and not of the wa-wa variety-- he would've ended up regretting it more than he does for doing these films. At some point he had to mitigate his damages when it came to this blood thirsty franchise.
The female viewers, and that creepy dude that stalks him, would've loved to see Jamie nude now, sure--of course. But Jamie needs to worry about the long game, here. And this has nothing to do with the question if he's comfortable with nudity or not. In my forty-one years, I've never seen a franchise take as much as this one has. These people have a bottomless pit for hearts that can only be filled up with dollar signs. So, why would he do anything extra for this franchise? For what, so they can advertise the $hit out of his dick just to get more asses in the seats, while they hold him down with a meager 250k and a low percentage backend?
It's not his fault Dakota sold herself out. It's not his fault Universal signed off on his nudity clause and accepted his deal out of desperation. It's just not his problem. Maybe in the future he'll find himself in a project where he'll want to bare it all, but I'm glad he didn't for this one.

Probably not since they're already filmed. I'm sure if he sent out a primal calling, 'I'm ready, come and get it guys!', the studio would have his ass back in Vancouver and get all up close and personal with that $hit.
But I really hope he doesn't.
Why should Jamie take a bad deal just because Dakota sold herself out? It's not like they had the same lawyer or anything, but it sounds as if Jamie had a better one, or he had someone smart guiding him to a better decision--one or the other.

Dr. Flynn was also in the series, but EL booted his ass out the door and it all turned out ok, I guess.
Look, it's not like the fans aren't going to see it if Jamie withholds the goods. From what I've been reading, many like just seeing him---period. I don't think seeing the Dornan D will make or break the movie, when it comes to these book readers. They want to see the wealthy, take control Christian, devour their Ana on screen. Sounds like they got it.

That was my original point. Why was she so loved and accepted by the audience? It's because Dakota's Ana was not book Ana. She had a personality while FSOG's Christian was simply a caricature of the worst Harlequin hero ever created. Jamie had nothing to work with, zero. He was there to look good, that's it.

True, and maybe he did. Am I the only one who thought it wasn't that bad? Yeah, he had slip ups, but I've heard worse accents from natural born Americans, like Eloise (Kate) for example. I thought for sure she was foreign. Her emphasis on certain words had me scratching my head.
Have you ever heard Aaron Paul talk? https://youtu.be/UlmviSx09HA
I'm not sure how he can even talk like that. I think I'm pretty good with accents and dialects, but I have no idea where that dialect comes from.

I think you make a good point. I actually love the series and enjoyed the movie. I think it's better than the first one.
I feel as though it wasn't necessary for Jamie to go full frontal. I was just happy seeing his shirt off, especially in the workout scene. ????
