The inevitable success of this movie is proof that people are idiots.

Seriously. The "plot" is something that a 14 year old girl who just discovered what sex is could think of in one night and the acting and pacing of the movie is so dull and lifeless. Yet, idiots will flock to this giant turd like it's some life changing experience. Sad state of affairs when piles of *beep* like this makes $100 million, yet smaller, quality stuff like The Raid 2, Boyhood, any foreign film, etc. rakes in pennies.

I would be embarrassed to see this in theaters.

Since you're so knowledgeable about the movie, chupachupp, I assume you must have plunked down your hard-earned cash to see it. Why? Please don't tell me you're an idiot?

reply

The movie that seems to anger more people who don't see it!

reply

It sure does, lensue88. Why would a rational person waste their time complaining about a movie they've never seen and don't plan to see?

reply

Maybe they've blown up their date for Friday night and have nothing left to do until ma brings their frozen dinner down?

You've got it, Ms. Stacy. Of course, they could take some time to wipe the Dorito dust off their fingers. I'm sure ma would appreciate it.

reply

Oh my...I am so going to miss you two...enjoyed all the quips..see ya..

reply

Yup! Kinda like super hero films and the one million mindless sequels they produce!

reply

Except superhero movies are you know.............entertaining and don't destroy brain cells in the process.

Says who?..and besides, I like both...so what?

There's honestly much worse than the "Fifty Shades" franchise to use as proof that civilazation has taken a step or two backwards regarding culture. Not to say the stories are actually good, but the films do have their pluses - Dakota Johnson's performances, the people working behind the scenes and the soundtracks and there's even the occasional moment that actually proves to be justifiably steamy and not just "Ooh, look at me, I'm provocatively sexy just for the sake of provocatively sexy" - that make them worth the two hours.
