Grace didn't seem to stay that upset for very long
Christian said Grace was furious when Ana asked how she was but then when they go watch the fireworks she's acting like nothing's wrong

shareIt really was. She went straight to action without a proper reaction. If I found out my adult son had an affair with my best friend, first question would be one of disbelief. Then I'd ask when, since that would be sort of important. For all Grace knew, it could've been three months prior. They robbed the audience of a genuine reaction, because without that, the action is meaningless.

I agree. That's was the first thing I thought of when I watched the scene. In the book Ana recalls Grace saying "Take your hands off my son!" which made them all jump then Grace stormed over to Mrs. Robinson and slapped her so hard that according to Ana it echoed against the walls
