The first installment wasn't exactly Citizen Kane but its story was intriguing enough. This one had virtually zero plot and Keanu Reeves' acting couldn't carry the dramatic scenes. Action was a 10, however.
I completely agree. I even feel like the action scenes were dragged out and overly choreographed. I also feel like in the first movie, Wick's actions were justified, but not really in this one. He should have know that guy would blow up his house, when he mentioned his lovely home, it was obviously a threat. Had Wick actually accepted the marker, he would have avoided his house being blown up and there would be no vengeance required.
Well even if he didn't blow up his house after Wick finished the job the guy still would be trying to kill him to "avenge" his sister. Wick would still probably be out to kill the main bad guy either way.
I agree half with you. After the opening scene things were slow. Very slow. Until the end of Rome and in New York you got more speed in the acfion and story.
Good movie, but it took a while to go full throttle. Rome was good, but too dark.
