It's about family sure, but Modern Family is more diverse and also more quirky thus making it funnier. This one however I believe is mediocre, and often un-happening in comparison. I like both the shows, however I have friends who thought that this is more relatable than Modern Family.
English is not my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.share
Modern Family was the obvious blueprint, but Life In Pieces is equally funny. Expect this show is in for the long haul, too. Watch 'em both.
