Spoilers, last episode of season 5

After watching I thought about this and wondered if this is the final season Bill Burr is gonna give us.

The Daredevil Stuntman who jumps over the Ali-hican plane in his motorcycle went off script during his speech and gave an impromptu F**K You to all the people in the audience and told them that he is no longer going to be their entertainment for an afternoon. Treating him like a monkey where he risks his life just to bring joy to these useless people, etc...

Do you think this was a way for Bill Burr to hide his own rant inside that of the character and that the "audience" he was ranting at was actually us real people watching the F is for Family show?

This is depressing, but I do wonder. What did yall think?

EDIT: After taking some time to consider it, maybe his rant was directed more at the "suits" at Netflix and not at us the audience. Because the motorcycle stuntman did say "I only did this stunt because this guy here (frank) was crying because he wanted to get promoted to junior-vice-azzlicker for this crash and burn airline".

The first 3 seasons were amusing, but last and this one is just piss poor. Disgusting humour and no idea where to take the story.

I thought it was just me, it did seem the humor got more disgusting the last season for sure. I felt so much stress from watching the first episode of season 5 that I had to shut it off halfway through and pick it up again when its much earlier in my day.

The last season felt angrier and more nihilistic, but then came the episode where frank talked to sue and just let go saying "we need to connect better and I dont want to yell and be angry anymore" then they took the kids bowling and just had a positive experience with no negativity just connection. That episode was NEEDED to bring some light back to this show. But the show did well in keeping it grounded with how real life family interactions can be. We often dont connect well with eachother and theres this tension and anger and mismanagement of our lives that it leads to stressful home lives. But Frank truly tried to get it together to make it work.

The very end, when frank picks up the phone and just hangs up without talking. Then after he sits down, Sue asks him "what if its work what if its important" and he responds "Nah, this is important" while waving his arms to the family at the table, was a fitting end for this show.

I don't think so. The show was cancelled and Netflix gave them 8 episodes to wrap it up. It was clear they wanted to do more of these and didn't know how to wrap all of it up in only 8 episodes which is why the last season was so sloppy.
