Netflix has announced a renewal for Fuller House less than a week after the premiere. This isn't unusual at all for their programming. Every Netflix original series that gets renewed has it announced shortly after the episodes drop, sometimes even before. The long wait on F is for Family indicates a lack of confidence, and it would be unprecedented for Netflix to announce a renewal more than two months after the complete season was made available for streaming.

It took them a couple months to announce that Jessica Jones was renewed for a second season, so it isn't exactly "unprecedented."

It has been renewed for a second season AND A THIRD. The second should be airing shortly, and they recently began writing season 3.
