As many people view the McDonalds brothers as plaster saints with the world's greatest concept there was a flaw. Weather.

With their San Bernardino store it was fine to park and walk up to a window to order and get your food. Southern California has ideal weather. Little rain and no cold and snow. How does that work in Buffalo?

Remember most of the competition in the 50s are drive ins where people do not get out of their car. If it is cold outside or pouring rain you would not want to stand outside to order your food.

The remedy was to make it so people can order their food inside the store and eventually seating was included. The McDonalds brothers did not do that. It was 1962 when the first Mcdonalds had seating inside.
