Visionaries Come In Many Varieties But They All Have One Thing In Common...

Persistence.

Ray Kroc, Ghandi, Steve Jobs, Susan B. Anthony. All very different people, but all persistent.

The McDonald brothers had tried franchising before Kroc appeared but they weren't as determined. Like him or not, Kroc's persistence was impressive.

Thoughtful, well-made film with a great script by Robert Siegel. It's not easy to bring drama to business dealings, but this script does it. Fascinating note at the end: Everyday, McDonald's feeds approximately 1% of the Earth's population.

Food in Films: Oh, those beautiful burgers with exactly two dollops of ketchup and mustard, one sprinkle of minced onions, and two pickles. Perfection.

Even the down and out can afford a hot meal at McDonald's.

Good point. It's an affordable restaurant for everyone, regardless of income--which is what Kroc always wanted. And even though not everything on the menu is the healthiest, it's satisfying, tastes good, and can cheer you up.
