A Barack Obama love-in full of godawful soundbites such as:
Her: “Why did you come to Chicago?” Him: “To make a difference!”
And, earlier, at home, her father asks: “What’s his name?”. She replies: “Barack Obama.”
Really?? You’d give a full name to a family member about the person you’re going to meet? It may as well shout his name in ten-foot letters of steel, and proclaim him as The Second Coming!
Doesn't look in any way objective. Saves them tackling the Guantanamo Bay problem, I guess.
Like that means anything? It's mostly American sites on RT, who've clearly bought into the Obama propaganda machine.
Over here in the UK, I wish he'd butt out of the EU referendum! He's clearly got sod all else to do for his last year, as he flies around the world making crap jokes.
Obama was always far more popular in Europe than in the US, so the comment about American reviewers makes little sense. Besides, the film has gotten positive reviews from UK publications such as Guardian and Independent as well. Overall the response seems largely positive both among reviewers, people reacting on social media and those watching the trailer on YouTube, where it's about 90% positive so far.
As for 'Brexit', I don't really feel inclined to comment beyond saying that it's utterly baffling that the UK would even consider leaving a market that stands for such a large part of their annual exports, knowing that isolationism like this is rarely, historically speaking, a good idea. And when Obama candidly points out that the US would prioritize the EU when it comes to trade agreements (obviously, with so many countries, including Germany and France), that should spell out even more clearly that Britain should stay at the table where they have influence, rather than attempt to go it alone in a globalized world.
Well, it's only got 6.2 on IMDB, so it's not doing that well.
Based on 88 votes. 26 of which are "1". I think it's safe to assume most of those votes are not legitimate (and yes, I also acknowledge the same in regards to the movie's 35 "10" ratings).
I find Oscar Bait infinitely more interesting than ticket bait reply share
So... what does that have to do with Hillary? If supporting her was the goal, why make a movie that has literally nothing to do with her? There is a well-liked Hillary Clinton biopic screenplay out there, after all. Why not just make that instead?
