I fell asleep for part of the movie

I wasn't bored, but if a movie is extremely talky, it can lull me to sleep. That happened with The French Lieutenant's Woman the two times I saw it. I remember the part where Obama gave a speech at a church. When I woke up, Michelle and Obama were sitting, talking about his speech at the church. Did I miss much - what did I miss? You'll have to put SPOILERS in your response if you respond.

I never thought I'd live to see the day when Tika Sumpter had her hair up. Tika plays Candace on The Haves & The Have Nots. Obama gave ice cream to the Candy.

You didn't miss much. But then again, I zoned out, too, during this movie. But unlike you, I zoned out because I found it to be incredibly slow and dull...and yes, "talky".

I don't really remember much about the speech other than that everyone in the church was hanging onto his words and they were all agreeing with him and clapping in the end. I vaguely recall that there was something about the word "no" being backwards for "on"...So they shouldn't take "no" for an answer, but rather reinterpret it into something more positive. *shrug*

All I really recall of the bench scene was that she might have been insinuating that he deliberately brought her to the church because he knew they'd tell her glowing things about him and knew that they would ask him to speak in front of everyone.

That's all I really remember. Sorry I couldn't remember more. Not exactly spoilers.
