I can't believe this... already propaganda to glorify dear leader?

This is an important part in US politics, even a terrible president, even a political enemy needs to be viewed in a nostalgic light. Maybe he done something wrong but hey it's about feeling the good old times.

This is SO DESPICABLE. A love story about a neo-liberal leader?

Who promised change, peace, and LIED? Who caved to business interest and betrayed the promise he was elected on?

Obama is the reason people voted trump because they are sick of this *beep*

Even if you are a democrat or fan of obama, you should vote this a 1 because it's propaganda.

interesting, that they made a movie while he is still president. he promised much and did not much. and still, ......strange.

There was almost no political content in the movie. It would be a decent romantic-comedy even if it was 100% fictional. I don't even like Obama and didn't vote for him, but if someone making a harmless little indie movie about his personal life fills you with rage you should just take your medication and chill out.

It's easy to argue this ad-absurdum.

How about someone makes a romantic comedy about Osama bin Laden's early life without political content. Should it be solely judged on the quality of the movie as if it were fictional? Might become a good summer blockbuster in the muslim world! Should it be banned? Should people of good conscience decry it as tasteless? Any fans of the movie could just as well say it's harmless, just as you do. Or do other rules apply to them?

If the movie wants the marketing boost from being about Obama, then it also has to bear the consequences of that.

And a political movie about Obama's life would not be automatically tasteless and despicable.

They are just trying to canonize the phony narrative. Some people will actually believe this as opposed to truth. Personally I'd rather see a gay Saudi plant and a tranny try to overturn Western civilization but there's no accounting for taste o guess
