I saw southside with you. Good movie. I highly recommend it for anyone openminded about dating...no matter what color, religion or political party.

What you see is a guy courageous enough to pursue a woman he is interested in. She is clueless and not open to dating because of their work relationship but they hit it off anyway. I would give any guy 100 out of 100 pts for having the courage to go after what he wants no matter the odds.

I highly recommend the movie and it is an example of how someone starts with humble circumstances can achieve great things -including the presidency.

Ignore the trolls and haters...take the family and see it!

The trolls were expected. Like Satan, they have to do what they do. We rise above them.

With all due respect, I didn't enjoy this movie at all. I found it to be very slow and dull for this genre. I couldn't wait for it to end!

While I liked the Obama character and thought he was quite charming, I couldn't bring myself to like the Michelle character, at all. Not sure if it was due to the writing or the actress who played her.

I gave it a 4/10.

Truly, yes, Ninjacatprincess (I wonder if I may be one of your Twitter followers, based in part on your pen name hear, and your style?) How unfortunate that the trolls and haters can't even leave a biopic alone. I enjoyed the performances in "Young Mr. Lincoln," and even some biopics about Reagan and Bush 43, neither of which had really good performances of their title characters. Good grief, almost everybody this side of Hitler or Pol Pot had SOME redeeming characteristics! But, the vilification of President Obama, especially, the Birther bit, the unprecedented Inauguration Eve cabal, shows how strong are the fears of people (like my own father at one point) reacting to the Decline and Fall of the White Power Dominance.

It was ok. I wont be buying the Blu-ray, but it was worth the trip.

I have to agree with the person who wasn't thrilled with the Michelle portrayal.

If it were me, I wouldn't have given her a second date! She came off as having
no sense of humor at all, and he was all 'charming ladies man'.

I did get the vibe that Barack was like this back in the day.

it was like a breath of fresh air seeing a well scripted and acted movie coming out in 2016

so many movies, so little time

The movie sucked. And the Obamas suck.
