Regarding Alice Both Book and Show Spoiler

Is she ever going to become a Niffin at any point in the series as it happened in the books? It seems that the books are in a separate timeline to the one we're seeing on the show especially the whole Margo/Janet scene which was funny. Do you think she also died after what Martin did to her and instead of becoming a Niffin is she dead? Is the actress returning for season 2? It is stated of course in the books that that timeline was the closest Jane ever got and the best shes ever gotten after the sacrifice of Alice against Martin and proceeds to smash the Time Watch so Quentin does not do something stupid. In this timeline could that change and she'll 'live'? What do you guys think?

When Q and Alice went back in time and saw the "witch" who was eliza/jane, why don't they just tell her how to avoid being killed? I didn't read the books, but I hope they deviate somewhat from the books in who lives and who dies or who becomes "niffinized".

Well you have to remember that she had already changed time 39 times or so and the 40th which is the current one in the books, is where she dies. I suppose by they telling her in could mess up the future somehow especially since they do meet before she died in the 40's etc. Who knows

What is a niffin?

Its when you overload yourself with power and you destroy your body and become something else. Something which is extremely strong and pretty much all powerful. It's what alices brother became in the show but they showed it as some *beep* ghost thing. In the books alice sacrifices herself to defeat the beast by becoming a niffin and kills the beast.
