I know magicians are very limited in what they can and cannot heal, but I cant remember if they mentioned whether or not they can heal severed or amputated fingers. I mean it seems kinda silly that they couldn't considering the source of literally all of their magic comes from their fingers. Marina lost fingers when they were bitten off, Dean Fogg lost his hands when they were crippled by the beast, and then the beast was helpless against Alice when he lost use of his entire left arm.

If Marina had lived, could she have recovered her fingers, or would she have spent the rest of her life only being able to do one-handed spells?

Apparently, you don't need fingers or hand to summon magic, but to control the form of the spell.

The beast was able to grow extra fingers, and prosthetic magic does exists.

So maybe Marina would have find a way to use magic again. With an enormous cost.

Probably to kill Julia ;-)

in the books we learn that magic is a tool that can be controled by muscle movements, any muscles. When Penny looses his hands He abandon the group and become a librarian, they teach him how to use other muscles to do magic, later on He acquires a prosthetic magic golden hands thingy. HE might cut his hands off later on in the show since they are not working well.
