I find the "plot twist"/ surprise at the end of episode 6 just annoying. (Spoiler)
I like Netflix Marvel. I think its the best Marvel there are. The Disney Marvel have lots to learn about the balance of down to earth, real stakes etc.
I also liked the defenders. But watching it for a second time now it was just the same as the first. I really dont like the surprise ending of episode 6, where Alexandra just gets killed of by Electra, even chopping her head of making sure she can never come back.
Its a trope I really dont like, when one establishes a "4d chess villain", who have lived for eons, who are a mastermind, and survived many many a tribulations and then they just get killed off.
I also would call it a HBO narrative. Many HBO shows are build around killing of characters constantly without warning. "Anyone can die".
But a GOOD told story has death that could be surprising and engaging and even cathartic, but HBO narrative deaths are often just a kick in the theet.
Anyone agree? Or disagree?
