are you being ironic?

because they're doing quite well and successful and should def speed up on releasing the series. they have fans salivating waiting for the next edition.

No i wasn't being ironic but let me preface my responce by sayin I'm honestly overwhelmed with the quality of their original programming. Acting, Writing Direction, Cinematography ALL go w/out sayin as its surely preachin to the proverbial choir...but even things generally unnoticed Netflix does is brilliant. From the smart character development/casting of Daredevil, the art direction/set design in the mesmerizing Marco Polo, the everything brilliant and BRAVE Film Beasts of No Nation, theee BEST super hero episodic on ANY network (coughABCCW) Jessica Jones!, The perfectly plotted writing of their House of Cards (i mention Kevin Spacey?), the binged watched by GOD Peaky Blinders and my fav (aka what I'd watch while eatin a Death Row Meal) NARCOS! Also i admire NETFLIX's bravery in allowing emerging untested-talent the platform to create shows which otherwise would prob not exist AND for pickin up shows that are fan favorites but were cancelled elsewhere! ...and dont get me started on their Documentaries! Team Foxcatcher? ..pffft!...forgetaboutit!
freakin awesome! etc etc.. Now with that mouthful said, cracks in the armor are beginning to appear. Not all can be winners i understand but i fear in their rush to corner-the-market per se thy will begin to forgoe or rush those attentions to detail which made them so amazing to begin with. Not to mention some new shows/original films are..if not slightly above mediocre just bad, like 101 REALLY Bad ..i.e. they shoulda known better. Also some (not all!) of later epidodes of shows, (tho still better than any NCIS Rehash) seem...lacking somehow or missing an element; This not just my long winded opinion either. Soon they'll be 4 or 5 additional Marvel superhero shows on Netflix bringing the total to what 8 or 9? Does Netflix really need for example NINE superhero episodics? Think of the rescources which may have to be allocated/harvested from other shows/films towards these new ones which includes not only $$ but creative talent & most importantly TIME. Opportunity Costs apply as well: for every greenlit 'Iron Fist, Luke Cage,Defenders there's possibly the next potential NARCOS that wasn't. ...Ultimately I understand the Empire making biz model: Hero shows bring IN the subscribers so that we may MAKE the Narcos Marcos & Stranger Oranges..in the short term yes, but ironically similar to a recent Netflix Documentary about a diff kinda Empire...if spreaded to thin, all sides will weaken.

Where do you get 9 from? They have 5 Marvel series, and The Defenders which brings all of those together.

If anything, they need to increase the number of series, but reduce the number of episodes. Jessica Jones came out in 2015, and the second season will likely be out in 2018. 3 years between seasons, and you want them to slow down?
It's not like they only have 3 writers that are available for all Netflix shows. Then can manage to prouduce 3-4 seasons a year at the same time I think.
