Will Netflix really hold on to the 8-episodes-plan from 2013?
Even if some people think 13 episodes are to long for the solo seasons I cannot imagine that they could handle four stars, perhaps some supporting characters, building up the main villain and the final conflict within eight episodes.

excellent question. I'd imagine keeping it at 8 episodes keeps the fans demanding for more. Which season 2 of JJ and season 3 of DD will solve for them

shareOnly this mini-series is 8 episodes. The original plan before DD and JJ got renewed, was a 60 episode plan. 1 season of 13 episodes for all four heroes and 1 8 episode mini-series.
But then DD and JJ got renewed. So just like DD season 2 was 13 episodes, it is probable that any other season of any show will be 13 episodes. Unless they do another mini-series which I doubt they will.

The Avengers movie brought six heroes together and was a little over two hours. Eight hours should be fine for four heroes.
share8 episodes is plenty. It means it won't have filler like the other series. Daredevil season 2 had the Punisher and Elektra, and that still dragged out much too long.
