Question about the plot - Possibility on what it may be

Having just read about an event comic known as Shadowland, it seems that this could be what the seasons may be leading up to. Considering the links to the Hand in Daredevil S2 and how Elektra is supposed to be something that they fear, is it a possibility that she may be Beast of the Hand or something to a similar degree.

Yes, I do remember that Elektra died at the end of S2, but don't forget that Nobu was presumed dead in S1 (don't think a spoiler anymore, as out for over a year, nearly two). So surely the method of his revival could be utilised once more. This could lead to Elektra being taken over.

Although I know that this may not work as the first big crossover for the Netflix series, it may for a possible season 2, or even Daredevil S3 if they want to. Anyone got any thoughts on this theory?

Doubt that. I read daredevil is possessed by the beast and is basically evil. I don't want the defenders making their main character evil. We've seen good characters who cant be developed used as villains such as Hawkeye in avengers and now superman in justice league.
If anything, Elektra should be revived as a controlled villain.

As long as they make it different from what they did in Agents of SHIELD's third season, with Hive (more or less the original Inhuman -- an ancient, alien/Kree-altered human man who was eventually reduced to a slug or a collection of sludge that could inhabit and reanimate dead bodies) inhabiting the body of series-long villain Ward.

How they'll make The Hand's possessing demon different (besides the fact that it's a demon/a fantasy villain rather than an altered human/sci-fi threat like Hive was) is most likely that Elektra will come back from it all and be herself again, in the end. Whereas Ward was just dead, with only his memories informing Hive somewhat and then both men completely destroyed by season's end.
