The Defenders are just a cheap knockoff of the X-Men

All because the MCU doesn't have the rights to the X-Men franchise, so they decided to kill them off in the comics to make room for The Defenders...How Sad

In reality the X-Men are a way better teamup than The Avengers, there I said it.

reply

Wrong. The contingency plan for the X Men is the Inhumans. The Defenders are their own, and the XMEN franchise, which really isn't even Marvel, is just sad (minus DP).

reply

In reality, the MCU's lower tier characters are making more than the highest grossing X-Men films.

Urich: Guess I have more faith in humanity. Fisk: So did Christ, if I recall.

reply

The X-Men and Defenders are nothing alike, either in the comics, or in live action.

reply

The Defenders is more of a catchier-titled Heroes For Hire at this point. Absolutely nothing like the X-Men.

reply

1. The Defenders already exists in the comics (although in different circumstances story-wise.)

2. If anything is the "X-Men knockoff" it's Inhumans in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. even though those aren't really knock-offs either since they're related to all the Kree and Hydra stuff.

reply

It's not like the Defenders never existed. You need to worry about Green Lantern.

Makes no sense Marvel will end up releasing Defenders before the Green Lantern corp is even thought about.

this is a typical dc fanboy comment, go to watch martha you dumb biatch

reply

Not having the X-Men made Marvel realize all the other great teams and characters they'd neglected in favor of the X-Men all these years. Now they're ignoring X-Men and giving these guys the focus they deserve.

X-Men in comics and all film and tv formats never really did it for me. Ever since Blade i have had a strong curiosity of street-level superhero conflicts. Looking forward to what this show can do even though it seems pretty impossible to pull together all the seemingly noncohesive elements.
