Pretty clear that Blumhouse know this is DOA and is dumping it in January. Moving it from it's Halloween release, the negative reception to the leaked costume design and hiding it in the trailers, and a lack of marketing are all red flags.

shareLeigh Whannell also did a fine job as a director with Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015) and especially Upgrade (2018). Not to mention all his writing for several James Wan movies (Saw, Dead Silence, Insidious & Insidious: Chapter 2). Should this be a misfire then so be it, pretty much all directors have them. I'll check it out for myself and make my own mind up.
