so, write your own story going forward
i'll just start with a few observations
i always found snyder's take the most rational - in a sea of uncertainties, compounded by two overwhelming adversaries neither of which have earned trust - first survive, second try to find out what is going on, third make decisions according to what you learn and the present circumstances.
it seemed to me that going off half-cocked in a resistance movement made little objective sense.
even as the show culminated in season 3, there was only one option open - propitiate the hosts, or they blast the colony to bits.
we also don't know which team obliterated the davos leadership, though i would assume the attacking species, not the defending ones, since this is the hosts' human organizational interface.
the humans are simply forced to the sidelines though hardly safe, doing what they must, in the moment. everything else seems like a stubborn pretension.
they never developed at all how the soldiers were to be used, one example, the hosts behavior, whatsoever. i'm not sure how many seasons they planned on, but they sure kept a lot of the more interesting SciFi aspects utterly undeveloped, even after 3 full seasons - kind of a clueless development arc for a SciFi show.

the most interesting aspect of all these dystopias is the tactical, strategic & moral problems they can present in a compelling dramatic context.
how would you, in broad terms, either differ with my basic assessments, or if you prefer, carry the story forward?
