What would have gone down in S4?

I wonder if the writers had a decent plan for S4. I mean, you have this Human outlier force going up against some type of alien race that A, has stealth technology and B, can seemingly kill with it's mind...What possible outcome could there possibly be other than a total wipe out of Humanity.

The super OP new alien explains why the Hosts are seemingly mechanical/robots. Perhaps they had to evolve to that point so as to not be vulnerable to whatever mind melting power the new aliens have.

The Bowmans would have made contact with the new aliens and worked with them.

I think Will would try to make contact with the op aliens after seeing how easy they took out the outliers on the frontline. Then broker a deal with them to leave Seatle colony unharmful in exchange Will and the surviving outliers will be send back somehow to Seatle to convince Synder to stand down and work together with Kynes to destroy the hosts facilities on the island platform to stop anymore outlier shipment. For that to work it will be revealed that the Host space weapon is destroyed by them(the aliens) so they are safe from any retaliation.

A TV movie would have been enough to cover these events instead of a season, since IGA HQ is wiped the only focus is in Seatle as the other colonies should have been bombarded as they are not as successful as Seatle thus they would not be protected and also the Hosts would allocate the resouces for their own protection in space. If they make a season 4 I have no idea how they could drag out beyond ep 5 or 6

I don't know how you'd tell. I think season 3 was enjoyable, but in terms of the longer-term series it seemed to retcon a lot of things.

I'm inclined to take the writers at face value and think they really were only interested in the human drama side of the invasion, and that they felt that the alien invasion aspect was cloaked in enough mystery that they could play fast and loose with it as the human drama side of it needed.

Season 3 was an abrupt change both due to location shooting changing and pressure that they were losing audience for ignoring the alien invasion part of the story.

Season 4 if it magically appeared would likely have involved all of the aliens kind of disappearing, probably due to some bioalien victory over the Raps and then humans dealing with the aftermath of collaboration and dictatorship. I doubt season 4 would have been anything like what was originally planned for season 4 if the show had continued shooting in LA.
