Look kind of fake

I never read the book and I am on the first episode and so far nothing seems authentic.

The way Ryan Phillippe caught the bullet with his hand, the way his secret service buddy talking to him. The way that FBI lady talked, none of them look like the kind of people have been doing it for a long time.

It is a TV show we used to let these things slide but TV shows are now on a much higher standard these days.

Maybe this is aimed at much younger audience or the writers really don't know what they are doing.

Maybe you're talking out of your ass. Yep that's it.

reply

Indeed. Seems to me we have an ass-talker extraordinaire here.

LOl you guys are killing me, and yes I do smell some ass-talking

They talk too much for the sake of the audience, to explain the process. It does make things sound fake. Take CSI, for example - do you really think real CSI techs need to constantly have every experiment explained to them?

Very few shows have pilot episodes that aren't overly exaggerated for dramatic effect and to draw the audience in from the get-go.
