Episode 1 .338 Lapua

I can't get over the fact that Swagger was shooting a .338 Lapua and there was no recoil at all. It didn't even move one bit. The pumpkin also would of exploded by the sheer power of a Lapua round.

As a firearm guy, I find it highly offensive.

To be fair about the recoil: Blanks don't produce any recoil, so for them to portray the recoil, the actor would have to yank the rifle back to fake it at the same time as i fires. That wouldn't have looked very good. Better to just hold and fire the weapon correctly and just live with the fact that there would have been more recoil in real life.

Also, I have never seen a movie that accurately depicts recoil. That's just how it is.

American Sniper and Lone Survivor did a pretty good job at it. Love how Cooper played Kyle and it's said that Kyle's favorite round was a .338 Lapua. Cooper was a big buy, about 230 lbs for the role, so his body would of absorb a lot of the recoil.
