Shooter Renewed for Season 2!

Glad it got another year.

I really enjoy this show, I'm glad that it was renewed!

I'm glad this has happened too, but after last weeks stats showed how well both USA Network is doing and that Shooter is it's #1 new show, I'm not surprised, just pleased.

The second season is supposedly going to follow the next volume in the book series which is a particularly interesting plot.

But what really amuses me is reading the reaction from entertainment sites, almost all of whom trashed the show early on, trying to explain the success by talking about political climate, etc., and the "fly over states," a phrase that is as arrogant as it is ignorant. I think the statement by Chris McCumber, president of entertainment networks for NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment says it best.“John Hlavin and the team behind ‘Shooter’ have delivered a compelling action thriller that consistently engages a strong and loyal audience.” Yes, it's an interesting, well done, entertaining show.

I expect more of the following now that it has to be admitted that the show is a hit:

War hero. Family man. Fugitive. Bob Lee Swagger’s story in Season 1 of Shooter has no shortage of thrills, suspense, drama, and all-around badassery.
