Disguises (or lack thereof)

So, he's the most wanted man in America or whatever (even after they presume him dead), but he tours around the country wearing (get this) a ball cap and glasses as a disguise? Who does he think he is, Clark Kent?

People keep recognizing him instantaneously (somehow, despite the impenetrable "I'm wearing glasses" disguise).

Why won't he shave that horrible stubble, dye his hair, walk with a slight limp (not enough to draw attention to yourself, but enough to say "hey, that's probably not Swagger), etc?

His training surely would have taught him a thing or two about a thing or two. I know he's not an undercover CIA operative or anything, but he's probably not stupid either, but c'mon... you're killing me here. It's silly enough to totally throw me out of the "whatever, I'll go along with it" frame of mind. I even manage to overlook the odd gun/rifle related boo boos, probably because we're so used to it with TV/movies, but when the character acts in a way totally opposite to how he *should* act (like, actually trying to disguise his identity, not just throwing on some glasses), then yeah, it's a problem.

I agree! It's a flaw in the writing. The only other thing that bothered me, too, is the fact that nobody followed his wife or Memphitz when they went to meet him??

If he shaved he wouldn't look manly and the viewers wouldn't recognize him.

People get caught all the time because they don't use elaborate disguises and simply put on a hat and sunglasses if they do anything at all. At least he put on a hat and sunglasses. His training would have been blending into the terrain not a group of people, and looking like a bush in the middle of a crowded area would just make him stand out more.

#1 he's supposed to be dead most people wouldn't be looking for him after he fakes his own death which is why he did it

#2 he's an ordinary joe trying to catch one killer which has turned into so much more, not an expert on disguises

#3 where would he get more than he uses: glasses, dirt/oil on his face, hats, hair dye? Are you talking false noses or something that would only make him stand out more?

#4 growing his beard is a better disguise than shaving, surely. his only problem is that it's only been a matter of weeks and he's not blessed with a heavy beard, thus the dye

It's ridiculous to think his military training dealt in disguises. A ghilly suit is the only disguise a sniper needs.

It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.

I agree. I find it hard to believe that USA's most wanted man can freely walk around without getting noticed. And especially at a gun show!!!? LOL

He was pronounced dead to the public, not most wanted.

With his desert cam bag attached to his back.
