I was hoping they'd do the second book as season 2, but it doesn't look like it. Flashbacks to the past and his dad then the story in the present would have worked really well in a season long stretch.
shareThe problem lies in Black Light also being a sequel to Dirty White Boys. It would be difficult to adapt without that tie in, especially in a 10 or 13 episode season.
A movie adaptation of Dirty White Boys has been stuck in development for several years. If they could work that into a 4 episode mini series between seasons, then Black Light with flashbacks could be done as season 3 without much timeline alternation.
Not surprised it's coming soon. The original release for season 1 was summer.
