The last two episodes.

They have been completely boring, unimaginative, pile of crap. Everything that happened in last 2 episodes could have been contracted into 1, but for some reason they elongated to two episodes. And the writing was so bad, even cliches couldnt save it.

I feel like this would have been much more amazing series, if a) it was set before the events or after the events of the movie. Like Bob Lee's serving days, his missions, etc, showing off his sniper skills in real scenarios! or b) if it was based on Shooter, but the characters are completely different and a more convulated plot. This series felt like I was watching Shooter the film but in 12 long hours.

Take a page from Coen Brothers playbook! Look at Fargo!

They're going to start that with season two. To jump right in and show the events that happened after the movie without establishing the characters, setting, etc. makes no sense.

I was very pleased that this was VERY different than the movie. Spending an entire first season establishing background would have been a sure fire method to be cancelled. I agree, however that now that they have established an audience base we will see much more background, judging by the source material for Season 2.

BTW, did you miss the episode that showed him in Afghanistan? I feel you did.

It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.

No I didn't miss the episode from Afghanistan, but that was one episode. I was thinking along the lines of an entire trip to afghanistan.

Then I'm thinking you will like Season 2 since it will be based on book three in the Stephen Hunter book series, Time to Hunt. I expect the show to be a modern interpretation as was the first season's take on Point of Impact, but believe we'll see more background as that is a main plot point of TtH.
