More silly feminist propaganda

After watching the first two hours on DVD i see that uhtred is being portrayed as your usual dumb hollywood male and his girl ( brida i guess) is the real brains and tough guy. What a bunch of horse piffle. Hopefully Trump will tell movie producers no more social engineering or he will put an end to the huge corporate welfare our govt gives the film industry.

This isn't a Hollywood production. But in any case support for film production tends to come from individual states rather than the government, unless it is a film which casts the military in a favourable light. If support stopped then the film companies would simply cut costs by filming abroad where it is cheaper. Since Trump has an isolationist approach he is unlikely to be happy about that. Still let the idiot do it, and other countries benefit from filming there.

Historians disagree whether Mercia was an independent kingdom under Æthelred and Ætheflæd but they agree that Ætheflæd (woman) was a great ruler who played an important part in the reconquest of the Danelaw. She was praised by Anglo-Norman chroniclers such as William of Malmesbury, who described her as "a powerful accession to [Edward's] party, the delight of his subjects, the dread of his enemies, a woman of enlarged soul". It isn't piffle for a woman to be tough, though most are men, as for brains are you seriously arguing the woman can't be the "real brains"?

How should women be portrayed on screen; subservient, intellectually limited, breeding stock?
You should understand that anything outside of your own view of how women should be represented in the entertainment media is not 'feminism'.
