I think they killed off too many characters in the first season, especially Leofric, would have liked to see him in season 2 as he was a great sidekick.

They wanted to stay true to the books and Leofric and all the other characters that were killed off in Series 1 were killed off at the same stage in the books.

Leofric is the best right hand man/sidekick that Ive ever read or seen in fiction. That shit hurt me when he went. I didnt even care about watching the season 2 after that...although I eventually did keep watching after a while.
