Did anyone else find the ending Darkly funny?

Gordo wearing a Monkey Mask and pretending to Rape Robyn
Gordo was a Boss and his final gift was darkly funny if you think about
The execution was hilarious

I would say it is the Best ending to a Movie I have seen all year long.
And I am including the fact that Whiplash came out this year(I am in the UK we got
Whiplash in Jan)

I have to agree. Even as a woman, I still smiled as Gordo walked away in the hospital. Simon was such an ass he deserved the mental aguish. I totally felt that “how do you like it *beep* moment for Gordo. Robyn will never know, so I was able to celebrate in Gordo's victory.

Yeah I had my little "how do you like it" moment too, with a little "he had it coming" thrown in there regarding Simon... I hate that Robyn got pulled into their drama, but I pretty much walked out of the theater chuckling to myself about Gordo's final gift to Simon.

I mean... sure, it was creepy as *beep* what Gordo did, but Simon was a horrible person and he really did have it coming, imo.

No. There's nothing funny about harming people, pretending to harm people, or ruining lives.

Even if someone has it coming, which Simon did....it's not funny to me. And it doesn't change anything for Gordo, really. His life is still sad. With a little satisfaction, now, maybe.

Come on the use of a Monkey Mask was darkly funny.
Joel deserves praise just for the fact he made something as Vile as Rape kinda funny in a morbid way.

If he actually Raped her it wouldn't have been funny. The use of the Monkey Mask as an FU is what makes it darkly funny

Gordo can now rebuild his life in another area.

Not really, and I didn't care for the ending at all. I don't mean the "twist"--I thought that was fine. I didn't like everyone basically just staring off into space at the hospital. I was going back and forth re what my score was going to be. That ending easily cemented the lower of my choices.

I agree Gavin, I thought the ending was great and I had a little "HAHA FU&%KER" moment of satisfaction.

I guess there are still some people who are too sensitive and are ether thinking Robyn was raped or whatever he did do does not feel right to them.sure it might not be ideal for someone like Robyn to be a temporary pawn or collateral damage but I feel whatever she does not know can't hurt her even if gordo made certain risks and I wonder if people felt that if gordo was feeling he had to fake a rape that he should have done it with Simon to teach him a lesson even if this was a one time deal and gordo did not seem to feel any pleasure doing any one this.
