How about "Gordo"?
shareThese two movies share the same title:
One I just found out about-http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3505754/
The other one I know was untitled during production- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3530002/
In addition to the Keanu Reeves high school prom movie The Night Before (1988), that's three different unrelated movies with the same title.
It don't matter who you hear it from. It's the same story.
Why would they? "The gift" almost implies that his sperm was the gift that got her pregnant. Because she got pregnant after he drugged her, so her husband would've had to have sex with her, too. I know they were trying, but .... anyway, that's what the title means to me
"You're watching too much Sopranos, when you give your kids their allowance in envelopes"
I think 'The Gift' was Gordo's gift of revenge against Simon. He was giving the gift of a destroyed life to Simon, much the same way as Simon had destroyed HIS life with a lie. I don't believe he raped Robyn, I don't think he would've been capable of that. He wanted revenge against Simon and to expose him as the bully he was. He didn't need to rape Robyn, he just needed to plant the idea in Simon's mind and then leave it at that. He'd already alienated her against Simon by the time Simon watched the film.
shareAgree with mrs-tweedy. Gordo's revenge was psychological not physical. He wanted his revenge on Simon and for Simon to go thru some of the misery he went thru. Gordo's life was ruined and now Simon's was ruined. And eye for an eye. Bullying will catch up with you in the end.... An excellent movie, I have seen it about a dozen times.
shareAgree that Gordo didn't rape Robyn. That would have gone against the whole morality of his revenge scenario. He didnt want to hurt an innocent person in the same way that he didn't want to have been hurt.
