Hitler seems like a cool guy...
I love concept movies like this. Why aren't more people doing interesting things with film? I thought the actor portraying Hitler was very convincing and the commentary on modern culture was on point (particularly in regards to entertainment). His natural ease and charm almost makes you realize how he could have seduced a nation. It's scary and fascinating to witness "Hitler" recruiting a new army. I didn't even realize they incorporated a bit of Borat/Bad Grandpa-style unscripted scenes until I saw some blurred out faces. I almost hope Americans have the guts to remake this film because I'd love to see more explored with this idea (in an even broader sense). Or maybe only Germans are allowed to broach the subject? I get the feeling most people are going to cry "PC!" when it comes to this movie.
Note: I want to point out that the current plot description is inaccurate. It is not about Hitler "pursuing a career as a standup comedian," it's merely about him adapting his principles for the 21st century (as everyone else views him as a farce).
By the way, the funniest bit had to be when he was waving around the dead dog. It reminded me of Sasha Baron Cohen with the head in The Dictator.
