There was a brief lull in the middle but I give this 9/10.

It had good humour in it, and a few cinematic homages to entertain but overall a strong political message.

Agreed. As an avid Hitler buff it was very enjoyable to see Hitler in today's society. I thought the movie was quite good and I was disappointed when it came to an end. It was one of those movies I wanted to keep going and explore more. The ending was great though.
shareI loved it! It certainly shows how utterly disconnected our so-called connected Wi-Fi society is. Most of the German public laughed and thought this Hitler look-alike was funny, charming and cool in pointing out the ridiculousness of their world, even as they were unaware that they were supporting him by their acceptance. Of course, had they known he was the real deal, I wonder if their reaction would have been the same. The movie amply demonstrates how out of touch most people are with reality, even though they think they are not. The absolute funniest part of this film is the spoof on the bunker scene from DOWNFALL where the television exec loses it; true comedy gold in that moment!
The moral of this movie - laugh at Hitler but not with Hitler.
A thinking man's dark comedy for sure!
