Hitler would never kill a dog

He was an animal lover. That's historical fact.

Also, there was that weird scene where he was admiring the German countryside and he threw trash on the ground. Just weird.

reply

True, he was a dog lover. He was more likely to kill a human.

reply

Well, a jew.

reply

to fair that dog bite him.
we have a law in denmark that if a dog bites someone it needs to be be put to rest.
it could be a child next time.

reply

true, our fuhrer did love dogs, and considered them his only friends. except the real fuhrer killed his dog blondi to see how fast the cyanide acted, and if his batch wasnt sabotaged.

reply

"our fuhrer" ??? Marco, are you a Neo-Nazi?

reply

of course not. but im in complete liberty to say that if i please.

reply

The last thing anyone should say about Hitler is "He would never...".

"Nothing is more ill bred than trying to steal the affections of someone else's dog."

reply

I suppose we don't really know what any no-longer-living-person would never do, that is true.

reply

Hitler murdered his own dog at the end of the war. I wouldn't consider it out of character at all.

reply

But that was in some ways a mercy killing as well as testing out that the drug he and Eva Braun were going to use would in fact work.

reply

Testing out your suicide drug on your dog is far from mercy killing....

reply

In that scene, there is a dog's point of view camera view; which is wrongly shown at the TV show that is aired in order to demolish him. This is one visible mistake of the film.

reply

He killed his OWN dog right before killing himself, idiot.

reply

That's because in his twisted mind it was better they all die (Eva and dog included) rather than fall into the hands of the Russians.

If you can't see the difference than you're a real mental midget.

reply

The reason he killed his own dog was that he suspected Himmler had given him tranquillisers instead. It had nothing whatsoever to do with "it'd be better that we all die". If you are going to lash out with petty insults you had better not do so after saying something which is demonstrably wrong, or you'll be the one with egg on your face.

reply

If you actually watch footage of Hitler with Blondie, you'll see that the dog is scared.
She hides her tail between her legs and only relaxes when she realises she is not about to be punished.
I think Hitler loved animals like he loved people; as long as they worshipped him and did what he said they were fine, if they protested or were not quite as he wanted the to be they were in danger.

And of course in the end Hitler killed Blondie and her puppies, while it would have been relatively easy to let them escape.
He didn't kill the dogs to make sure they wouldn't suffer, he had them killed to be sure the poison worked because the coward was terrified and paranoid he would survive.
