Pretty good for a B movie, but

I have to say, they lived in the least fortified house I've ever seen. Window after single-paned window, easily broken by dogs that are amazingly not injured. There seemed to be a lack of doors (as the mother was hiding and creeping around, I couldn't understand why she didn't close the dog(s) into a room??) as well.


I have to say, not warning the sheriff was pretty messed up. They could easily have shouted out the door. Yet, somehow, those flimsy windows were completely soundproof.

Why would you take your truck, where your children will have to sit unprotected in the bed, when you could access the four-wheel drive, enclosed sheriff's car?

And I didn't quite understand the point of crawling around all over their huge property (again, NO DOOR ON THE SHED!), when they could have barricaded themselves inside the basement or something?

Are dogs nocturnal?? Why would they take off at dawn?

In spite of this, I liked it - the dog attacks were actually graphic and scary. I'm a dog lover and usually, when animals are the "bad guy" in movies, I end up either feeling sorry for them and wondering if they were injured during filming, or, conversely, everything looks so fake and ridiculous that it's funny to me. This had a good balance. I did feel sad for that poor little puggle that got ripped out of the kennel:(
